Electrical insulated bearings utilize a special spraying process to apply a high-performance coating to the outer surface of the bearing. This coating features strong adhesion to the substrate and excellent insulation properties. It effectively prevents electrical erosion caused by induced currents and protects the grease, rolling elements, and raceways from electrical damage, thereby helping to extend the bearing's service life.
The manufacturing process is continuously being refined. These insulated bearings feature a 100μm thick coating on the outer or inner ring surface, with a rated withstand voltage of up to 1000 V DC. The special spraying process creates a uniformly thick coating with extremely strong adhesion. Subsequent treatments ensure the coating is highly resistant to moisture and humidity.
Product Features
By preventing damage caused by electrical corrosion, insulated bearings offer higher operational reliability in electric motors compared to standard bearings. Furthermore, they provide greater cost-effectiveness and reliability than alternative insulation methods, such as shaft or housing insulation.
Insulated bearings share the same dimensional and basic technical characteristics as non-insulated bearings, ensuring excellent interchangeability. They are widely suitable for use in electric motors and generators, and are particularly common in inverter-fed motor applications.
